Updated Rumour: Zandvoort signs five-year contract to host Dutch Formula 1 GP
The decision is made! According to various sources within FOM, the Zandvoort circuit has signed a five-year contract with Formula 1 to host a Dutch Grand Prix. More on this soon!
Update 8am: Zandvoort denies the rumors so far, but admits that they will no longer let the race slip out of their hands. Both the Zandvoort circuit and the FOM have reached an agreement on the main lines, but extra details need to be added. That reports Motorsport Week.
The last edition of the Dutch Grand Prix took place 35 years ago and was won by Niki Lauda.
The Grand Prix of the Dutchman will most likely take place in May 2020 and there is a good chance that it will be the first race of the season on European soil.
