Recent articles stating that Hulkenberg would 'win straight away' if he were at a top team, have got me thinking. Who is the quickest driver on the grid regardless of their team?
In our poll down below we want to know what you think! Which driver would win if all the cars were equal!?
Formula 1 is not solely about who is the quickest driver. Much of the time the standings are determined by the success of the teams and who has the best car. However, 2018 saw Ferrari have the quickest car but then fail to convert that into championship success but few would blame the drivers for this.
Many would argue that Kimi Raikkonen is one of the quickest drivers on the current grid and before he retired, Fernando Alonso was often praised for being the most talented driver but compared to Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton these two greats of the sport had limited success.
Does having multiple world championships next to your name mean that you are the best of your generation? We will find out. Choose who you think is the quickest driver in the poll down below.
