This weekend, the Italian Grand Prix is scheduled in Monza, which means another chance for Max Verstappen to defend his lead over McLaren in the drivers' and constructors' championship. On Thursday, the Dutchman appeared with a real celebrity in the photo shared by Red Bull Racing.
Verstappen, while enjoying a non-alcoholic beer, stood along the track with none other than Fabrizio Romano. The Italian football journalist has become a celebrity with the slogan: 'Here we go'. The transfer watcher deals with things like footballers' contracts, but with the Dutchman, he simply had a chat at the pit wall.
People from the football world know: where there is Romano, there is a transfer. With Verstappen, however, there is no such thing yet. There were some speculations about the Dutchman going to Mercedes, but several media outlets, including GPblog, have already quashed these rumours. Verstappen will also drive for Red Bull next year.
