Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix brought the third largest audience for a US television broadcast of Formula 1. The audience peaked at 2.3 million, putting the race behind only the 2024 and 2022 editions of the Miami Grand Prix

F1 is still growing in the US

Sunday's live broadcast of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix attracted the largest U.S. live television audience on record for the iconic event as an average of 1.965 million viewers watched the race telecast on ABC.

Despite a 45-minute delay because of the first-lap incident involving Red Bull's Sergio Perez and both Haas drivers, the audience between 9-11:30 a.m. was up seven per cent over the 1.833 million average for the 2023 race, which was the first time the Monaco Grand Prix had aired live on ABC.

When the race resumed, an average of 2.07 million viewers watched the race until the chequered flag, watching Charles Leclerc win his home race for the first time.
