Toto Wolff once again guided Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes to a double championship win in 2018. He talks about his season highlights in his latest interview. The boss pulls out Hamilton's Singapore Grand Prix pole lap as one of his favourite moments.

At one stage it looked as if Ferrari were going to push Mercedes all the way, but once again the Silver Arrows dominated. And not just in Formula 1. Junior drivers George Russell and Mick Schumacher won the Formula 2 championship and European Formula three respectively. Mercedes also won the DTM title and F1 Esports.

“We’ve had an exceptional year overall in Mercedes with all the trophies that we’ve won. That is for me a highlight to say because we’ve managed to clinch the title with Mick in F3 and George in F2, and the virtual titles, the DTM success," Wolff told RaceFans.

Wolff goes on to speak about his number 1 driver Hamilton. The Brit produced a stunning lap in Singapore to claim pole position when everyone didn't expect the Mercedes to dominate on that particular track.

“He was travelling the world to various fashion shows, launching his collection, and many people were saying on Thursday ‘how can you allow him to be in New York and in Shanghai for 10 days and then come to the race?’. And then he just killed everybody on the track on Saturday," Wolff added.
