The Williams team is not having an easy start to the season. The British squad is still waiting for its first points of the season, Logan Sargeant was unable to compete in the Grand Prix a fortnight ago in Australia due to a broken chasis and during the past Grand Prix in Japan, fate struck again. Alexander Albon, along with Daniel Ricciardo, was involved in a big crash on the first lap.

Due to a shortage of parts, team boss James Vowles thinks the coming races will be challenging. "It is very difficult for any team to deal with a number of major incidents in quick succession. The impact is huge."

It is therefore also highly doubtful whether the team will have a second car ready in time for the Chinese Grand Prix in a fortnight' time. The damage to the chasis of Albon's car is significant, but Vowles remains positive. "I do worry a bit, the tyre made contact with the wall at a nasty angle. But hopefully it will be fine."

What does this mean for the rest of the season?

Vowles feels his team can run well in the midfield. "It's incredibly exciting from RB to Alpine. That's also what makes this situation so frustrating.'' However, the frontman keeps his head up: ' 'I am sure we will all be back there in China and then we will go for it again."
