Visa Cash App RB will make many competitors' nightmare come true

The new Visa Cash App RB received plenty of laughs due to their name but be prepared for this team to be the surprise of 2024. Competitors' nightmares seem to be seriously coming true.

By 2023, the noises were growing louder: how is this AlphaTauri suddenly so fast? Red Bull's rivals feared for the small team from Faenza. Williams just held off the team in the battle for seventh place among constructors. Haas and Alfa Romeo were further back. More teams will likely bear the brunt of the renewed partnership between Red Bull Racing and the sister team in 2024.

The new Visa Cash App RB will again take over many more parts from Red Bull Racing in 2024. They will use successful elements from the RB19/RB20, and the team only have to focus on the parts they must make themselves. With that approach, they already gained a lot of ground in 2023. They are expected to catch up even further in 2024.

Why VCARB are serious challengers in 2024

Daniel Ricciardo's objective says it all. Namely, he states that the team should be able to regularly achieve top-five finishes. Perhaps it is somewhat ambitious, but it says enough about where the team think they stand. After all, if you want to enter the top five, you will have to compete with Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari and Aston Martin. Some very quick teams, but at VCARB, they seriously think this is possible.

The competition are alarmed that VCARB can take advantage of Red Bull Racing and quickly find their way up. However, it is a bit short-sighted. Over the winter, VCARB has also shown that they want to invest heavily in personnel. With Peter Bayer, Laurent Mekies, Tim Goss, Guillaume Cattelani and Alan Permane, names with considerable experience were brought in. So, the team should, to some extent, also become more self-contained.

With all that knowledge, the team can fully focus on the parts they need to develop. As the eighth team in the constructors' championship, plenty of time is available in the wind tunnel and CFD. The competition fears that Red Bull Racing will also benefit from this, but the FIA is convinced that this collaboration is impossible.

One thing is certain: Visa Cash App RB are in a very good position to attack the top of the midfield in 2024. Williams and Alpine are close, but Aston Martin, with an RB19 copy, doesn't seem an unachievable goal either.
