Brundle mocks celebrities: 'Hopefully they don't think I'm weird'

For Sky Sports viewers in the United Kingdom, it is a regular occurrence: Martin Brundle makes his grid walk before every Grand Prix to speak to the 'celebrities' and F1 personnel he meets and ask them a question. F1 drivers and F1 team members never refuse a chat. That is by no means true of Hollywood stars or artists, who stand between the cars.

The most famous incident was with Megan Thee Stallion. She was a guest on the grid in Austin a year ago and Brundle had spotted her. But before he could ask the performer his question, the former F1 driver was pushed aside by bodyguards. This led to a huge outcry online - with masses siding with Brundle - and Formula 1 deciding to deny bodyguards access to the F1 grid in future.

Before Sunday's Grand Prix, Brundle spoke to Machine Gun Kelly, who tried to get the former driver to play an 'air piano'.

Brundle the celebrity hunter

No doubt Brundle will have his heart set on walking the grid in Las Vegas in just under two weeks' time, where the celebrities are expected to attend in large numbers. Who will all be there? It remains to be seen. On X, the analyst came across a Tweet, and to it he put a vicious comment. "Finally, my claim to fame, I’ve met two of these three people. I do appreciate them taking some time out on the grid for our great sport … I hope they didn’t find me too weird," he said with the photo, which shows Megan Thee Stallion and Machine Gun Kelly who he spoke to in Brazil.
