The F1 Academy is part of a Formula One weekend in the United States for the first time. Lewis Hamilton visited the paddock of the new racing class. Susie Wolff, F1 Academy director, hopes more drivers will pay attention to the women's racing class in the future, she told ESPN.
The F1 Academy was started early this year after the W series, the women's racing class that was part of the Formula 1 calendar until 2022, had to stop. Several races have already been run in the new racing class, but this weekend the F1 Academy is part of the spectacle for the United States Grand Prix.

Susie Wolff pleased with Hamilton

Hamilton immediately showed his appreciation by visiting the women's class paddock. Toto Wolff's wife hopes it won't stop there and that more drivers will come to take a look in the future: "It's a little bit sad that it's always Lewis. He is always the one offering support, coming over. He knows what it's like to be the only one, and so he has an affinity."
