Formula 1 is on a little trip through Asia. Meanwhile, the first sessions have been run at the Suzuka circuit in Japan. So with the race again, the end of the 2023 season is one step closer. So the likelihood of grid penalties for exceeding the total number of parts allowed also increases. GPblog has listed the number of parts used per driver.

Red Bull Racing installs new internal combustion engines

Red Bull Racing has installed a new internal combustion engine (ICE) in the cars of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez each, plus a new turbocharger, an MGU-H and an MGU-K. This brings the Austrians to the maximum allowed for their cars to be used in 2023. The next time Red Bull uses a new one of any of these elements, it will result in a grid penalty.

Lewis Hamilton(Mercedes), Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll (both Aston Martin), Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Logan Sargeant (Williams) also received all these new parts. For all of them: a grid penalty automatically follows next time.
