Max Verstappen won the sprint race of the Austrian GP by force. Although it was a spectacular race with many battles, a sad atmosphere prevailed in the paddock after the race. The death of young Dutch driver Dilano van 't Hoff is keeping drivers busy.

Verstappen questions race management at Spa

Verstappen was also touched and talked after during the press conference that followed the sprint race. Verstappen: "He [Van 't Hoff] was a Dutch racing driver, up-and-coming racing driver as well, who had the same dreams as we had, when we were at that age, wanting to get to Formula 1. It's incredibly sad for the whole family, everyone involved, the team MP Motorsport, I know quite a lot of people there."

Verstappen is not resigned to it and seems to find what happened during the soaking wet race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit frustrating. Verstappen: "Again, we have to look at this kind of situation, it's easy to blame the track, but I think also looking at how wet it was in these conditions, that are definitely thing we will have to look at in the future, to what we can do to better it, to protect drivers, what happened today was unnecessary (to happen), clearly."
