Sebastian Vettel led a 1-2 in second practice for the Italian Grand Prix despite an early red flag for Marcus Ericsson’s massive crash.
The Swedish driver lost control of his car in the braking zone for the first chicane, slamming into the wall and his car catapulted into multiple barrel rolls before coming to rest.
Fortunately, Ericsson walked away from the wreckage and was ok afterwards, although he took no further part in the session.
Vettel had a scary moment of his own, when he lost control on entry to Parabolica and spun onto the gravel.
Luckily for the German, he didn’t make too much contact with the barriers and was able to drive off.

Raikkonen was second quickest, followed by the two Mercedes, two Red Bulls and two Force Indias.
There was a good performance for Charles Leclerc who recorded P9, but there were struggle for McLaren, with Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne 18th and 19th respectively, only ahead of Ericsson who did not record a lap.
