After a difficult day for the Spaniard he had to settle for P3 in a tricky Singapore GP. From the get go he struggled to find the rhythem and oace neccesasary to stick with the front two.

"It was very tough out there. Never really got into a rhythm in the wet and then couldn't really challenge with the top two."

But whilst he battled with tricky conditons throughout the race, the Spaniard still remains optimistic, "In the end when you don't have that little bit of confidence I just had to settle for P3.

Sainz sees the positives

"The good thing is I didn't do any mistakes. I bought the car home and could be quick towards the end of the race when I built up enough confidence. Its a good result for the team and the constructors championship."

With Japan up next next in a weeks time. the Ferrari driver will hope that he can regain some of the the confidence he's shown throughout the season and push Red Bull and his teamate to a race win.
