FIA president Jean Todt has said that Formula One drivers will have a say in the final layout of the Miami Grand Prix circuit. Drivers had recently hit out at the FIA decision-making process claiming that they were often left out of major decisions.
"We're talking about a race that doesn't exist yet," he told Speed Week.
"Talks are currently underway with the rights holder, and after that we will look at the safety aspect. The drivers will then have the opportunity to contribute their ideas," he added.
The initial plans for the Miami circuit recently took a hit when the area of land that was set to be used around the AmericanAirlines Arena was ruled out over a land dispute around 'Parcel B', to the West of the arena.
