Mercedes comes to the floor in first free practice Canada with update
Mercedes is working hard behind the scenes to be able to forget the disappointing season start as soon as possible. During the Canadian Grand Prix, the team will therefore come up with changes to the floor of the car, Auto, Motor und Sport reports.
Because of the new regulations, Mercedes has been struggling to achieve optimal performance all season. The Germans are struggling with, among other things, porpoising problems, causing Lewis Hamilton and George Russell to frequently complain of physical discomfort.
Mercedes is keen to get rid of the problems quickly and is therefore coming up with some changes that should provide solutions. In the pictures below you can see that a bar has been placed and that space has been created at the edge of the floor.
Mercedes has punched a huge hole into the edge of the floor. Check out our first AMuS pics of the massive cutout. Plus some images of the mounting of the new second floor stay that will used in later today in Free Practice.#AMuS #F1 #CanadianGP pic.twitter.com/7hnJHWSkjq

Mercedes looking for solutions
Collectively, it should ensure that Mercedes is able to connect with the top teams. During the first free practice in Montreal, however, there was little sign of that yet. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton drove respectively the sixth and eighth time.
