Red Bull Racing's double podium was in jeopardy after the Monaco Grand Prix. Ferrari lodged a protest with the FIA, alleging that Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez both crossed the line on leaving the pits. However, the race committee decided to reject both protests.
While Charles Leclerc started the race on pole position, he did not manage to finish on the podium. Perez completed a solid race and finished in first place, while Carlos Sainz and Verstappen followed behind.
Afterwards Ferrari announced that it would go to the FIA to seek clarification on the Red Bull drivers' incidents. However, the stewards soon found that Perez had not crossed the line at all, so that protest soon stood no chance.

Verstappen, too, is now safe. The Dutchman did indeed cross a section of the line, but according to race control he stayed on the safe side for most of his tyres.
