We already knew that Daniel Ricciardo wants a two-year deal after his current deal expires at the end of the year, but Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that the Aussie will demand a salary of twenty million euro's a year, which roughly translates to 17.5 million pounds.

The Aussie is currently in talks with Red Bull to renew his deal, the Italians report, but he's in high demand as Ferrari and Mercedes are eyeing to get him on board too.

La Gazzetta writes that Ricciardo has not only laid down his salary demands at Red Bull but also at those two other teams. There's a big chance that the prancing horse will wave goodbye to the ageing Kimi Raikkonen after this year, which leaves a vacant spot on the team that Dani Ric can fill up.

As for Mercedes, Valtteri Bottas's future is also still up in the air. The Finn has definitely shown signs of improvement this year as he's out-qualifying Lewis Hamilton so far, but the lack of aggressiveness might cause the Silver Arrows to opt for Ricciardo.

Christian Horner has given Ricciardo a deadline for his decision; he has to decide by August what he's going to do.
