Perez not sure of seat in 2023, as Gasly still has chance

Sergio Perez is currently sitting pretty at Red Bull Racing, but the sweating will begin soon. There are several drivers who have a chance of becoming Max Verstappen's teammate in 2023.

Perez had a decent first season at Red Bull and certainly showed what he's worth. He played a major role at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and partly thanks to him, the Dutchman is now World Champion. Yet he is not sure of a seat, because according to The Express,  Pierre Gasly could have a chance at the Milton Keynes-based team.

As the Mexican's contract runs until 2023, the team is looking at all options. The Frenchman would love to return to Red Bull, but what the plans are is still uncertain. "They say there could be a possibility in 2023," said the AlphaTauri driver.

Do the juniors still stand a chance?

There are also plenty of young drivers who would like to get a chance at the successful team. Yuki Tsunoda is a name that could be mentioned from time to time, especially if he is higher up the rankings next year. There are also some young talents in Formula 2 and Formula 3 who would like to join the Formula 1 team. Juri Vips, Liam Lawson and Dennis Hauger could also be considered.
