'F1 comes up with a plan to use wind tunnel to narrow the gap to top teams'

This measure would have a greater, direct impact on the differences between the teams in the king's class of motor sport. The idea is as follows: the intermediate position in the constructors' championship is taken as a guide for the amount of time Formula 1 stables are allowed to use the wind tunnel.

As world champion, a Mercedes would then be allowed to spend much less time in the wind tunnel. The measure should ensure that the teams are closer together in terms of aerodynamics, as the biggest gains are made in the wind tunnel.

The German medium writes on its website: "The top three would then be allowed to use the wind tunnel 70 percent of the time, i.e. the current limit for all teams. The number four in the intermediate position would get 75 percent of the time in the wind tunnel and the number five would get an extra five percent on top of that. That way you can continue, with the number nine and ten in the championship being allowed to use 100 percent of the available wind tunnel time".
