"Incomprehensible" that Nico Hulkenberg won't be in F1 next season

It looks more and more likely that Nico Hulkenberg will not be in Formula 1 in 2020 and former Formula 1 driver Marc Surer has admitted it is "incomprehensible" that the German will miss out next season.
Hulkenberg has lost his seat at Renault for next season to Esteban Ocon. The Frenchman was announced earlier this year to partner Daniel Ricciardo in the season before the regulation changes.
Having been linked with seats across the grid, from Red Bull to Williams it looks as if Hulkenberg will miss out next season something Marc Surer is struggling to get his head around.
"It is really incomprehensible to me that a driver with such qualities does not just have a cockpit for 2020," Surer told Motorsport-Total.
"He would be the perfect driver to put alongside Max Verstappen in the Red Bull for example.

"He would have been the perfect man in those different places, but on the other hand, it is also the best reserve driver you could wish for. Hopefully, there will be another chance for him, but it remains to be seen."
