Max Verstappen is going all or nothing at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver has won the last two races at the Mexico City circuit and is looking to get a hat-trick this weekend.
"I don't care if I get third or fifth. You come here to win," Verstappen said to Algemeen Dagblad ahead of the race.
Red Bull have had a mixed season. They started looking very competitive but since the summer break, they have been out developed by Ferrari and Mercedes. Verstappen believes that they are still very much in the fight and that it is lucky Ferrari aren't that much further ahead.
"It is special that Ferrari is not further ahead," he said. "At the start of the season, we took everything out of it. In addition, Ferrari had a few strange weekends, which caused them to go up and down in the rankings."
The Dutchman will hope that he can add to his impressive record in Mexico and that he can get back on the top of the podium.
