WSBK star set for MotoGP return as injury sidelines Spanish talent for Silverstone

After already beginning the season with an injury and missing the Thai Grand Prix, Aldeguer is set to miss his third consecutive race after also being ruled out of Assen and the Sachsenring. He remains sidelined as a precaution.

The Spanish talent from Murcia, who will ride for Valentino Rossi's team next year, has scored a single podium at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this season so far.

He will be replaced by Lecuona. The Spanish rider arrives in Britain with recent success at Donington Park, where he ended Nicolo Bulega's winning streak and claimed his first victory in a top-level category.

Lecuona has impressed during his first MotoGP outing this season, when he replaced Alex Marquez. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, he finished in seventh place

The Spaniard can resume practicing on 15 August, and is expected to be back for the Aragon Grand Prix at the end of the month.
