Qualifying is complete at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen with Aprilia scoring their first-ever top four lock out.
It was a hotly contested Q1 session as Fabio Quartararo, Franco Morbidelli and Joan Mir battled for the top two spots. In the end it was the Frenchman who pulled off a sensational lap on the Yamaha, while Morbidelli lost time in the final sector to enable Mir to go through.
Brazilian rookie Diogo Moreira had a high-speed crash but was thankfully unharmed in the incident. Miller also crashed out of the session but was also uninjured.
Aprilia continued their strong showing from Friday with a front-row lock out. Jorge Martin took pole in the end ahead of Ai Ogura and Marco Bezzecchi. Raul Fernandez briefly set a pole time, but had the lap taken away due to track limits. Nonetheless, the four Aprilia bikes make up the top four.
Marc Marquez could only manage a P7 start after also having several of his fast laps deleted. The majority of riders were caught out at the final chicane. His Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia, who usually goes well at the Assen circuit, qualified in P5.

Pedro Acosta once again suffered an engine cut-out, his second of the day, and was forced to retire into the pits with five minutes remaining. Nonetheless, he managed to finish in P8 just ahead of a valiant Quartararo.
