Manuel Gonzalez continued is brilliant start to 2026 with another win at the Hungarian Grand Prix in Balaton Park after a tense duel with Filip Salac for the win. The IntactGP rider has now won three in a row in the Moto2 class and leads the championship by just under 50 points.
The race began with more chaos following on from the dramatic Moto3 race, as multiple crashes took out several riders on the opening few laps.
However it seemed that the yellow flags calmed the nerves of the rest of the field as from there out it was a relatively mundane race. Czech rider Filip Salac did well to hold up the faster bikes of Gonzalez and Agius behind, though he eventually had to yield the win.
Agius returned to the podium for the first time since his win in Jerez, with the Spanish duo of David Alonso and Dani Holgado rounded up the top five.
