Marc Marquez capped off a sensational Saturday at Balaton Park in Hungary with a convincing sprint victory ahead of Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi.
Having qualified on pole, Marquez took control from the start and never looked in any trouble as he sailed to a convincing victory and took his third sprint win of the 2026 season.
Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi won't be too disappointed with his 3rd place finish having started the race in P6. The Italian was fortunate not to be overtaken by Fermin Aldeguer who made a mistake after pressuring the Mugello race winner in the opening laps.
As is typical of the Balaton Park circuit, overtakes were few and far between. Nonetheless, Jorge Martin managed to make up two places and score valuable points in his championship fight.
Further back, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Francesco Bagnaia duelled over P9, but the VR46 man was unable to find a way through on the factory rider.
