The dog, who appears to be a Border Collie or some variation of the breed, has been given the name "Turco", though whether this has any relation to MotoGP's new arrival Toprak Razgatlioglu remains unclear.

The couple shared several shots on Instagram of the new pup settling into his new life at the Marquez mansion.

It is believed that the dog was acquired from Madrid, which adds further curiosity to the name choice. Either way, the dog appears to have settled well and is bonding with his new owners.

Turco seems to have a lively personality, just like his new father, and can be seen wrestling with the nine-time world champion in one of the clips.

Marquez will be looking to retain his MotoGP title this year and equal Giacomo Agostini as the most successful rider in MotoGP history.

As the looming regulation changes of 2027 approach, many are expecting MotoGP to experience one of the most unpredictable 'silly seasons' in recent memory.

All but a handful of riders will be out of contract at the end of the year, and some big names in the sport are already being rumoured to be on the move in the near future.

Marquez was presented with a layout of the grid for next year as part of a segment with the official MotoGP channel.
