Marco Bezzecchi has revealed that Kimi Antonelli played a role in his rather unique celebration at the Indonesian Grand Prix.
The Aprilia rider won his first race since May, finishing off a weekend where he kept himself in the title race and capitalised on his impressive pace.
After crossing the chequered flag, Bezzecchi continued MotoGP’s long tradition of eye-catching on-track celebrations, and this one was simple but effective.
The Italian toured around with a giant white pepper grinder with his race number and logo, plus a small message that was impossible to read on camera.
Unsurprisingly, Bezzecchi was quickly asked about it on Sky Italia, and while he made a revelation about Antonelli, he stopped there.

“A little bit of spice - it always comes in handy!” he said.
“Let's just say it's a long story involving my friends at home, and Kimi too, actually.
“It's a long story. Everyone in our group knows the story. Come on, let's keep it between us.”

Bezzecchi is close friends with compatriot and Formula 1 championship leader Antonelli, and the pair have both been seen supporting each other at their races this season.
They both come from the Emilia-Romagna region and grew up as Valentino Rossi fans, staging tributes to the motorsport legend this season.
In fact, ‘Bez’ even recently revealed that he attended Antonelli’s 20th birthday party in August, where they and a group of friends spent the day at a local water park.

For a time, it looked like Italy could be celebrating champions across the top tiers of four-wheeled and two-wheeled racing.
Bezzecchi led the MotoGP standings with three straight victories, but Round 8 began a run of four pointless race weekends through suspension and injury.

Bezzecchi seemed aware when assessing his weekend and suggested that he’ll keep taking risks in order to try and close the gap quickly.
He explained: "The reality right now is that we've lost more than we've won, so we definitely have to take some risks. That's what I had to do this weekend.
“Yesterday it didn't pay off, but today it did, and I'm happy. Ultimately, my desire to ride is still the same because I enjoy it - I mean, I like riding; I get pleasure from it.
“So I always look forward to coming to the races, to giving it my all, even to suffering at the end, because the suffering is almost more than the joy. But you have to never give up; my guys know that, and so do I."
