Lando Norris appeared to mock fellow Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll in footage reportedly taken at a nightclub following Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
The video, which has circulated on social media, shows the reigning world champion out with Haas driver Oliver Bearman. Someone nearby is spotted holding up a sign reading "to the best F1 driver". Norris turns towards Bearman and appears to tell him, "It's you", before calling out: "Where's Lance? Where's Lance?"
The exchange can most likely be interpreted as a playful sarcastic jibe towards Stroll, who has struggled in a disappointing season for Aston Martin.
The original post sharing the video on X, has attracted 2.1 million views and Norris has received a mixed reaction from fans in response to his comments, with some criticising the reigning world champion for his comments, with some calling Lando a "PR manager's nightmare".
Others have defended his comments with one person replying to the video: "Are we seriously turning a few seconds of Lando Norris joking at an afterparty into another full-blown investigation into his character?"

Neither Norris or Stroll have publicly addressed the footage shared on social media. The footage comes after Norris previously scathed Franco Colapinto following their race-ending collision also involving Pierre Gasly in Baku. Norris suggested the Alpine driver does not deserve to be in F1 and should face a ban, but he later backtracked on his comments and apologised.
Norris makes admission over Piastri clash
It was a weekend to forget for the reigning world champion, who collided with teammate Oscar Piastri during the sprint race, and although he finished a respectable fourth in the Grand Prix, he finished some 40 seconds behind race winner Max Verstappen.
Norris initially defended his decision to attempt the move on Piastri during the sprint race, arguing that there was enough space to overtake. However, after discussions within McLaren, Norris admitted that he should have approached the situation differently.

Asked whether he expected further discussions with McLaren and how the conversations had gone so far, Norris said: "No, it's pretty straightforward. I can't attempt what I did. I should never have attempted in the first place, even if the move was on. I've got to think of the team that I represent more than myself.
"It was a mistake on my part, and I let down the team. I've also apologised to all of them, I owe them all an apology, and I will do better next time."
