Ferrari poaches top engineer from within Red Bull family

Ferrari has bolstered its technical structure with the addition of Guillaume Dezoteux, who will join the Scuderia as Head of Performance Operations, GPblog has learned.
Dezoteux brings with him extensive experience from within the Red Bull organisation, where he spent a total of eighteen years. Most recently, he served as Head of Vehicle Performance at Racing Bulls across the past two seasons.
Across the team’s previous incarnations, he held a number of senior technical roles, including Chief Engineer and Performance Engineer. He also spent a brief spell away from the Red Bull fold, working for Michelin for several seasons.
In a message shared on LinkedIn, Dezoteux expressed his gratitude to his former colleagues before wishing the team every success with its new power unit project.

Wolff holds fire on W17 potential until Verstappen lays cards on the table

Mercedes emerged as one of the most eye-catching teams in Barcelona, with the W17 racking up more mileage than any other car as both George Russell and Kimi Antonelli logged extensive running throughout the test.
Speaking to a small group of journalists, including GPblog, the Austrian admitted the early signs were encouraging, while cautioning against drawing firm conclusions before truly representative lap times are on the table.
“We haven’t seen Max push the car, and we haven’t seen McLaren or Ferrari show what they can really do. I’d therefore be careful about saying it was great for us. We simply don’t know.”
