Luís Montenegro, the Prime Minister of Portugal, looks to have announced that his country will make a return on the F1 calendar for the 2027 season.
Portimão first came onto the F1 calendar in 2020 and 2021 due to the restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, and now a return to the Algarve looks set.
"We have secured the organisation of the MotoGP, the royal class of motorsports worldwide, for 2025 and 2026. And I can tell you that we have everything ready to officially make the return of Formula 1 to the Algarve in 2027."

Charles Leclerc was asked about this as the fight between the three teams continues, with a bold claim coming from the Monegasque driver.
