The rivetting F1 News from Saturday, June 28

After an action-packed Friday, it's time for the third and final free practice before quaifying takes place in Austria. Follow the most important news from Saturday, 28th June, here!

What where the best F1 news from Friday 27th June in Austria?

Max Verstappen finished P2 in FP1, behind George Russell, and behind the two McLarens in FP1. After the sessions, the Dutchman spoke of a good first day. There is but one weakness that really needs improving on the RB21.
Where initially Russell seemed his biggest competitor in Austria, in the second free practice it was the McLarens who were the fastest. Lando Norris fears a strong comeback from Verstappen after Friday. If there's one team that can improve well from Friday to Saturday, it's definitely Red Bull.
Helmut Marko was also very pleased with the form the Austrian team is in at the moment. The gap with McLaren is actually smaller than it appeared on track. Marko refused to comment on the rekindled rumors about Toto Wolff and Verstappen.
Christian Horner, on the other hand, responded fiercely to the rumors. According to the team principal, there is no truth to them, and they are just rumors.
As per GPblog's data analysis of the top drivers' long run pace, the win may be contested by mutiple drivers, including Verstappen, Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc, with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell proving to be close enough to put in a good showing at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
