Williams was supposed to launch their new car today around 2pm via their own app. The unveiling was supposed to take place via augmented reality (with which you could project the FW43-B on, for example, a wall), but the British racing team has cancelled it due to a hack.
The app was hacked and the first images have already leaked onto the internet. The app has since been removed from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
In a statement, the team said: "We had planned to reveal the FW43B, via an augmented reality app later today. But unfortunately, because the app was hacked before launch, this will not be possible. We were looking forward to sharing this experience with our fans and can only apologise that this has not been possible."
