Max Verstappen drove welll again this weekend, as he broke the record for most wins in a row in Formula 1. Speaking to Viaplay, the Dutchman reacts to his race.
Since the Miami Grand Prix, Verstappen managed to win every race. For years, the record for most wins in a row stood in the name of Sebastian Vettel. Last week, the Dutchman equalled the record by taking his ninth win in a row at Zandvoort. This weekend in Monza, the Dutchman was again too strong for anyone, and was able to celebrate breaking the record afterwards.
"It feels good," began Verstappen. "It was another strong race I think. It was a bit difficult to overtake at the beginning because they [Ferrari], had a lot of top speed. Once we were in the lead it went really well."
Verstappen continued: "We knew Ferrari were going fast on the straight, especially here. Our DRS was not so great this weekend, because we had to cut the top layer, so that made it all just a bit more difficult to have a good run."

At the end of the race, Verstappen lost a lot of speed. The Dutchman himself does not know exactly where the problem came from: "We just had a little problem with the car I think. I don't know exactly what, but I had enough lead, so I could just drive to the end."
