After the second Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring,
Renault announced that they were going to protest against the legality of the
Racing Point. That car would resemble too much the
Mercedes of 2019. To be precise, it would go around the brakes of the Racing Point which suspiciously resemble those of Mercedes. However,
McLaren does not expect that the protest will yield much.
"
Formula 1 is a championship between ten teams. The best car eventually takes the championship and that's what every team wants". Because Seidl doesn't know all the details about the protest, he doesn't want to say too much about it. "
There is no point in saying anything about it, because that is just suggesting. We support Renault in their protest, as it mainly provides clarity", Seidl said.
