A setback for Red Bull Trackhouse Racing, the Austrian-backed team in various NASCAR series. This Sunday, Connor Zilisch cannot participate with this car in the Sprint Cup race in Watkins Glen following a strange incident on Saturday.

The nineteen-year-old won the Xfinity race at the same circuit in Watkins Glen, but the joy was short-lived.
When getting out, Zilisch seemed to slip, falling hard. The American then lost consciousness. After he awoke, he was carried away by medical staff.
Zilisch was taken to the on-site medical centre in an ambulance, followed shortly by a trip to a local hospital.

Zilisch reacts from hospital

From there, it turns out that Zilisch has broken his clavicle, as the unfortunate driver lets us know via X.
"Thank you everybody for reaching out today," Zilisch wrote on X.
"I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse."
In any case, he cannot participate in the Sprint race, which is scheduled for later this Sunday. Trackhouse, which is supported by Red Bull, has already announced to withdraw the car from the race. When Zilisch will be fit for duty again, is unknown.
