Norris on Australia pace: "The car is exactly the same as in Bahrain"

Mclaren have had their best race of 2022 yet in Australia, finishing 5th and 6th. However, Lando Norris isn't convinced that their pace as representative.

Mclaren looked convincing in Australia. Both cars finished in the points with 5th and 6th, Lando Norris leading teammate Daniel Ricciardo across the line. Norris qualified 4th on the grid and even topped FP3 on Saturday, with teammate Daniel Ricciardo qualifying 7th.

Norris spoke to Sky after the Australian GP doubting if their pace was an improvement, or just circumstance, stating; "It's more of just change the track and the car has gone quicker. I want to be optimistic but the car is exactly the same as it has been in Bahrain. It's track specific."
