Norris: "If anyone knows how to annoy Ricciardo, it's Verstappen."

Next season Lando Norris is still a teammate of Carlos Sainz. However, in 2021 the Brit will have to compete against the experienced Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian is heading for McLaren, while Sainz makes the switch to Ferrari. Norris and Ricciardo don't know each other very well yet, but the British expect to get to know Ricciardo better soon.

"It's hard to expect anything from him until you really meet him," Norris thinks out loud about his collaboration with Ricciardo. "You never really know what to expect. At least not until you work with him. That was also the case with Carlos". Norris expects him to get along better with the Australian. "I know Daniel a little better than I knew Carlos at the beginning of the season."

In the live interview on the Instagram of Sky Sports Norris let it be known that he gets a lot of information from his teammates from Max Verstappen. The Dutchman helped Norris with information about Sainz. "Max gave me a lot of good tips, he knew a lot about Carlos. He also knows a lot about Daniel, which is very good. You should see your teammate."

With Sainz and Norris as a line-up, McLaren now has a young duo, with a lot of humour outside the job. "You want to have a bit of fun in F1 and that's what I'm trying to do, but you also have to work with your teammate and with the team, while your biggest rival is your teammate". Norris sees that he has a lot to learn from his future teammate. "It's definitely going to be tough and I'm going to learn a lot from Daniel, but if anyone knows how to annoy Daniel, it's Max. Maybe I'll call him about it soon," Norris concludes.
