Logan Sargeant had an investigation on his hands for obstructing Jack Doohan in FP1, and now the stewards have ruled. The Williams driver came away with a reprimand and a €5,000 fine. The 22-year-old driver thus escaped a grid penalty.

Lance Stroll has also received a €5,000 fine. The Aston Martin driver drove "unnecessarily slow" in the first free practice session, blocking Frederik Vesti, the Mercedes junior who was driving Lewis Hamilton's car during the first session of the day at the Yas Marina Circuit.
