Helmut Marko is surprised by the speed of Lewis Hamilton's new Mercedes engine. The Red Bull Racing advisor does not hope that Hamilton can continue driving with such a high engine setting until the end of the season. He also states that his team might protest against the rear wing of Mercedes.
"If they can keep up this engine performance until the last race, it doesn't look good," Marko told ORF. The Austrian then goes on to say that Honda will not be able to achieve anything similar this season, even if a new engine is fitted.
On Saturday there were rumours that Red Bull had submitted a thick booklet to the FIA on why Mercedes' rear wing was illegal. Marko doesn't want to reveal much about this. "As soon as we have the facts, we will present them."

No penalty for Verstappen

The stewards decided during the race to choose not to give Verstappen a penalty after a near touch with Lewis Hamilton. Toto Wolff doesn't understand this at all, Marko thinks it's a fine decision."Verstappen was driving in front and when Hamilton ... Verstappen went wide Hamilton went with him. It was clearly a race situation."
