IndyCar owner: "It would be a huge asset if we could welcome them"

Ferrari in the IndyCar. Since the announcement of the budget ceiling, it has been going around that the Italian team is looking at other series to participate, so they do not have to lay off staff.

Ferrari takes responsibility

Mattia Binotto already announced in May that they are looking for new opportunities at Ferrari to bring the team into other series. The IndyCar series, but also the World Endurance Championship are possibilities for the Italian team.
Binotto believes that Ferrari is responsible for their employees and that they want to make sure that everyone has a job in the future, despite the large budget ceiling that will be set in Formula 1.

Penske confirms

"Of course we are trying to bring more manufacturers into the IndyCar", says IndyCar owner Roger Penske to the IndyCar podcast on SiriusXM. "You've certainly heard about this, we're talking to Ferrari. We will have a new set of engine regulations in 2022 and it would be a huge asset if we could welcome a third manufacturer."
