The final free practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix is finished and Charles Leclerc cannot put a perfect VT series to his name. Sergio Perez is narrowly faster than the Monegasque and has a nice prospect for qualifying.
Sergio Perez set his fastest time with a 1:12.476, which Charles Leclerc was only just behind. The Ferrari driver is 0.041 seconds slower than the Mexican. The gap with his teammate is a lot bigger, as Carlos Sainz is 0.370 behind Perez, followed by Max Verstappen in fourth place with a gap of 0.405 of a second.
Of the teams in the midfield, Pierre Gasly was the best in fifth place, but even more impressive is Lando Norris. He finished sixth, while still struggling with severe symptoms from tonsillitis. Mercedes again seems to have a big gap to the top in Monaco, as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell do not get further than seventh and ninth respectively, split by Kevin Magnussen. The top 10 is completed by Fernando Alonso.
