'Ferrari's 2023 car passes crash tests'

"Although there has been no official word from Maranello, the bodywork of the 675 [the project name of Ferrari's new car] is said to have passed all crash tests to be homologated by the FIA." So the chassis of the 2023 car would be fully approved by now.

What would further stand out is that the engines for 2023 have been running very few kilometres on the test bench, whereas this is exactly what happens a lot at race stables around this time of year. The reliability targets for 2023 would have already been reached and so there is less testing than a few months ago. The reason is that everything to do with the engine also falls under the budget cap from next season.

Ferrari is said to have taken a big step forward with the engine. Thanks to improved reliability, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz would reportedly have access to some 30hp extra compared to 2022.
