Fernando Alonso after the Sprint Race: "Good Saturday for Aston Martin".

Fernando Alonso finished fifth in the Sprint race at the Austrian Grand Prix. The Spanish driver is happy with Aston Martin's Saturday and says a difficult Sunday lies ahead.

Alonso commented on his impressions of the sprint race: "Yes, happy because, in the end, top five is what we had in difficult conditions. We had to improvise a bit on the grid, we didn't know how wet the track was, we all started with intermediates and then that decision to go dry or not at the end and we stayed with intermediates, and you never know until the race is over. Fourth and fifth, three points ahead of Ferrari, eight ahead of Mercedes, good Saturday for Aston Martin," Fernando Alonso told DAZN.

The Aston Martin driver also spoke about Sunday's race and said: "(Sunday) looks difficult again, with a dry race for sure, with Ferrari very fast, but if we score more points than them and more than Mercedes, it will be another good Sunday."
