F2 at Silverstone: Pole for Piastri, Zhou in second, Verschoor P3

Besides Formula 1, Formula 2 will also race at Silverstone this weekend. Qualifying for the first race was, as with F1 this weekend, on the Friday. And it was Oscar Piastri who was the fastest.

Podium chance for Verschoor

Piastri was the fastest driver at Silverstone, and he managed to keep championship leader Guanyu Zhou behind him. Richard Verschoor will start from third place in Sunday's feature race.

The session was ended by a red flag caused by Ferrari-junior Robert Shwartzman. Not a major crash, but the Russian couldn't improve his time.
