Dan Ticktum is happy that Mohammed Ben Sulayem has decided to reevaluate the behavioural regulations the FIA introduced earlier this season. The British Formula E driver has not been in contact with the FIA but has faith in the drivers who have spoken to them about it.
The FIA has recently been under a lot of scrutiny, due to the strict behavioural regulations it introduced earlier this season. Both fans and drivers are seemingly unhappy about the way the drivers are being silenced.
At the end of April, Ben Sulayem put out a statement in which he admitted that the FIA would be reevaluating the controversial regulations. He mentioned he'd spoken to drivers from the seven different FIA championships about the matter.
" I haven't spoken to him, no", Ticktum admitted in conversation with GPblog in Monaco. "It's probably a good idea that I don’t (speak to him)," he added with a smile.
"But yeah, I think all the drivers are on the same page, so I don't need to comment on that.”

Will changes to the regulations be coming soon?

Ticktum emphasised that he does understand where the FIA is coming from with these regulations, but that it's simply not working. "I mean, I think I understand the premise of it." He wanted to add something more but decided to stop himself. "No, no. I'm not going to say any more. I'll just get myself into trouble", he laughed. According to The Associated Press, the FIA hopes to finish up the revision of the regulations before the end of this week.
