Max Verstappen may have attracted the stewards’ attention just before the Singapore Grand Prix. The Dutchman took an unusual route when leaving the pit lane, driving completely over the white line. The stewards may launch an investigation.
Verstappen left the pit lane ahead of the Grand Prix to drive to his place on the grid. However, instead of following the usual route at the pit exit, he steered his Red Bull over the white line before entering Turn 1.
This is an unusual and prohibited maneuver, as drivers are normally required to follow the designated route when leaving the pit lane.
It is not yet clear whether the stewards will actually investigate Verstappen’s manoeuvre. Should the FIA decide to examine the incident further, it could potentially result in a penalty.
