Red Bull's Isack Hadjar is at risk of yet another penalty at the Miami GP due to Parc Ferme issues, the FIA have revealed. The Frenchman takes new engine parts, more than the allowed limit for the Sunday race. After qualifying P9, Hadjar
failed an inspection due to the RB22's floor extending two millimetres too far outward on both the left and right sides of his car. But now, he faces further punishment after taking on new parts. He will start from the pit lane
The FIA have confirmed that a new energy store unit used by Isack Hadjar is the fourth of three new units allowed for the 2026 Championship season and this is not in conformity with B8.2.2 d) of the 2026 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The same is the case for new control electronics unit. The FIA's F1 Technical Delegate Jo Bauer said: "Furthermore the listed PU elements were changed without the approval of the technical delegate, this being in breach with Article B3.5.3 b). I am referrimg this matter to the Stewards for their consideration."
Red Bull apologise to Hadjar following Qualifying DSQ
Red Bull have also issued an update following confirmation of Isack Hadjar's disqualification from Miami GP qualifying.
Team principal Laurent Mekies said: Mekies said: “We made a mistake and we respect the decision of the Stewards. No performance advantage was intended nor gained from this error. We will learn from this incident and assess our processes to understand how it occurred and to take steps to ensure it cannot happen again.
"As a team, we apologise to Isack, and to our fans and partners. We learn the hard way today but we will move forward. Now our focus is on converting yesterday’s encouraging showing into a strong race performance this afternoon.”
