Audi has officially announced its entry into Formula 1 from 2026. With the new engine regulations, nothing stood in the way of the expected entry and Audi is even going to work as an engine supplier. A deal with Sauber is not yet discussed.

Audi makes the switch

On the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Audi has announced their entry into F1 with a demo F1 car. It had long been rumoured that Audi and Porsche would join F1, but the former has now actually presented it. A press event followed.
Audi will, as previously expected, enter F1 as an engine supplier in 2026. The German brand is now working on developing that engine for 2026. The brand has not yet announced that they have a deal with another team. Audi is rumoured to be collaborating with Sauber, but that is not official yet.
