Late crash shakes up the Azerbaijan GP as Safety Car called out

The Thai driver lost control of his Williams on lap 31, going straight into the barriers while Esteban Ocon was behind him.

Those ahead took advantage of the Safety Car to make their pit stops on the following lap, although no driver out front in particular gained any positions as a result. Kimi Antonelli was the only one who took advantage of the opportunity, managing to pit and gain a position on Lando Norris in the process, moving up to eighth.
