Tim Mayer is pushing to become the new FIA President and will launch a campaign to secure the position.
Mayer will make a bid to become the new President at the FIA and has been announced as a candidate, starting in 2026. Mayer will speak to the press ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Friday.

He is vastly experienced as he was a steward in the World Endurance Championship and therefore has a good knowledge of motorsport outside of F1.
Alongside Mayer, Carlos Sainz Sr was interested in running for presidency but will no longer move forward to become FIA President.
